The Dodge County Historical Society preserves Minnesota’s past, shares our state and southern region’s stories all while connecting people with history in meaningful and exiting ways. The DCHS museum is located in a limestone church built in 1869. On the museum property is a home built in 1856 furnished era appropriate. An 1883 one-room school house sits next to the museum. The museum has artifacts and documents covering the settlement and development of Dodge County from 1854 through the present. A research library is available to visitors. Be sure to play a visit to the permanent and new WWI exhibits today.
